The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright
5.0
This is the second book by Jason Wright that I have read, first being Recovering Charles, and I enjoyed this one even more so. Jack and Laurel Cooper both die on the same night in their beloved B&B and when their three children return to arrange for the funeral, they find letters that Jack has written to Laurel every Wednesday since they were first married.
The letters offer insight into the love and heartaches that went on in their marriage and their children deal not only with the loss of their parents but have to come to terms with their own struggles. Although there is a Christian theme that runs through the book, it is not overly preachy and I thought back to issues of my own that were triggered by reading the book. Looking forward to reading more books by Jason.
