Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick

5.0

This was a magnificent read. It made me cry, laugh, hope and I think that only truly wonderful books can make me care so much about a character in such a short amount of pages. LEONARD PEACOCK is messed up but I love him so much.
This story was so much more than what I hoped it would be and it is my favourite read of 2015 so far. I loved everything about it. It was perfect.

It's really difficult for me to put into words how awesome i think this book is so I'll just jump to the Fun non-spoilery facts:

FUN NON-SPOILERY FACTS
- Holocaust references
- Bogart Movie quotes, references (you name it, it has it)
- Gifts
- Modern Art (ew) You'll get it later
- Messed up people
- Herr Silvermann (THIS MAN..THIS MAN)
- Guns
- A lighthouse
- HOPE
