I knew I would be moved by this book, but I didn’t know how. Because I’ve had the chance to get to know Shannon over the last few years, I was familiar with much of the story, but it was in fact her hopeful arc that bends toward redemption that surprised me. (And it was really, really well-written as well—something I can’t say about a lot of books in Christian spaces.)
