A Cowboy For Christmas by Katherine Garbera

4.0

Annie Prudhomme has returned home to Marietta, Montana after being gone for the last fifteen years. She finds herself a waitressing job at the local diner called The Main Street Diner. The last person she expects to see on her first shift is Carson Scott. He and he's brothers drop in for a bite to eat. Carson is just as surprised to Annie. A lot of time has passed between the two of them but still Carson instantly feels something for Annie just like he did all those years ago.

Since then Carson has now grown up and has responsibilities of he's own. He is now a single father to his six year old son Evan. Carson's wife died four years ago in a car accident. Seeing Annie again stirs up old feelings and memories and many questions. Fifteen years ago Annie walked out on him with no explanation and now he wants to know why.

Annie is recently divorced from her husband Davis. They were married for ten years, but then things went bad and so Annie returned to her hometown. Although she doesn't have much else left in her life she does have her ranch in Marietta. Her ranch is situated right near the Scott ranch. When Carson finally gets to talk to Annie she doesn't give to much away. Carson wants to know what she has been doing all these years. He's also looking for answers as to what went wrong between the two of them all those years ago.
With Christmas just around the corner Annie is busy with renovating her ranch which Carson gives her a hand and the two end up spending a bit of time together.

But Is Annie ready to confide in Carson or will she leave again like she did fifteen years ago? This is a beautifully written Christmas story which I really enjoyed.
