i thought this was going to be a cutesy series about a mushroom who lost its spore & ended up falling in love. it is that. it’s so sweet and lovely. but it’s also incredibly angsty and full of body horror, genocide, violence, and blood. 

the extras cured my depression and watered by crops. an zhe and lu feng deserve nothing more than to live in domestic fluff, feeding each other fruit and cuddling and having heart to hearts.

honestly this book destroyed me on so many levels and it’s going to take me a very long time to get over everything 😭
