Neurofitness: The Real Science of Peak Performance from a College Dropout Turned Brain Surgeon by Rahul Jandial

4.0

This book was super interesting, and completely based on scientific fact. There's no pseudoscience in this book, which is refreshing, and it even debunks quite a bit of pseudoscience in the process. Lots of interesting (and somewhat terrifying) stories about people with brain issues and how they were solved, and interesting facts about how the brain functions and heals itself when necessary. There are some tips about how to get the best performance from your brain, how to train your brain, and how to feed your brain (through food, exercises, rest, or whatever), but I wish there would have been more tips, and more about strategies for unlocking creativity. That's just me, though. Still, a great book, and totally worth reading. I may pick it up again at a later date as a refresher.
