YES YES YES. I LOVED IT!

Let’s start off with the actual storyline before I get into my love for Jem and Will. The storyline was just *chef’s kiss*. It had such an interesting steampunk-like element with the mechanical people, and I thought that was super creative because there are so many different directions you can go with that, considering the army is not ~alive~. There was so much going on in this story, so I was never bored. Yay! Tessa being betrayed by her brother? TEARS. The Magister plot twist? I GASPED. Agatha and Thomas? TEARS. This book was really well done and I loved the little things like carriages, dresses, and phrases from the time period.

Alrighty, onto my main men: James Carstairs and William Herondale. Kings. Both of them. Jem’s backstory made me tear up, and I feel like we still don’t know //everything// about him. He seems like such a complex character, and I feel like he will definitely have a bigger part in Clockwork Prince. His relationship with William is just so pure. The trust the have for each other makes me so happy. William is a classic Herondale man in terms of sass and angst. A Herondale is not a Herondale without angst. I need to know why Will is so angsty. Besides that, he’s a super fun character to read about. His banter is
