Witch Child by Celia Rees
5.0
'Witch Child' is a pagan historical fiction book which contains a lot more truth than fiction. The author has clearly submerged herself in research and has come up with a spectacular story to tell of a young girl with ties that point to herself as a witch. In the time period in the book, this certainly isn't taken lightly. As we follow this young girls story, we are more enthralled by the beliefs, actions and thoughts of the people in that time period, all the characters in the book seemingly holding their own secrets. The fear of witchcraft is what drives this story onwards and leaves the innocent, convicted.
