You're the One That I Want by Susan May Warren
5.0
This was my favorite of all 6 in this collection. I loved the character of Owen, now. After spending the last 5 books with him and hearing his story through his family and seeing his actions through their eyes, we finally get to hear his story and see his soul. Warren changed my preconceived notions of him and deepened him into a lovable, humorous character. I laughed out loud during this rescue turned romance turned murder mystery. Having read the 5th book recently, I knew part of the murder plot, but I enjoyed watching them figure it out and think it would be exciting for someone else. I am sad to be done and wish I had a little more time to spend with the Christiansens. The gospel passages and messages were well done in this book and didn't seem overtly cheesy, or perhaps I'm adjusting to Warren's writing after reading 10 of her books. Book hangover will commence shortly, the only remedy: start a new book!
