To Hate Adam Connor by Ella Maise

5.0

Adam. Freaking. Connor. I was shocked. And I mean SHOCKED. As a words of affirmation girly….. the way this man could sweet talk??? I’ve never highlighted a book more than I have this one. At a certain point when I had lost count of the paragraphs that made me pause and squeal, I had to acknowledge that this man don’t miss! The perfect single dad trope, enemies to lovers, possessive, pining, can you ask for more??

Don’t get me started on Lucy. This book is for all my burnt out over achievers who want someone to fight for and take care of them. Her banter with every character in the story but especially Mr. Connor was to die for. I wanted her to be happy so badly and her ending did not disappoint.

I would say that this blew To Love Jason Thorn out the water. Truly out did the doer.

I already know I’ll be coming back to these two often.

“I’m rooting for you,” I whispered. “I never wished for a prince to save me, because I can save myself, thank you very much…but I’m wishing for it now, Adam Connor. I hope—and I can hope really really hard—that your kiss will break the curse. I hope it’s you, Adam. I hope you’re the hero of my story, because I deserve to be loved, goddammit. ”
