This was a really fun book and I loved Evangeline. She’s just so nice and hopeful even when things are going bad she tries to find a way to turn things around.
This whole thing starts because the boy she loves is suddenly going to be marrying her stepsister so she goes to the Prince of Hearts to ask him to stop it. Jacks being Jacks gets everyone turned to stone and Evangeline immediately takes their place because that is not what she intended to happen. Once she’s freed and sent on a little quest to the North she takes her stepsister as a way to try to make amends for this new title of the Cursed Bride she gained from the wedding being stopped.
Things go from there. Evangeline still has to fulfill her end of her deal with Jacks. There’s a ball to catch the eye of the Prince of the North. And there’s some magical gates.
The end left off on an interesting note and I’m very curious what will happen next.
