The Book of Longings by Sue Monk Kidd

4.0

A beautiful and compelling story of Ana, a fierce voice who faces many painful obstacles to her eventual self-realization because of her gender and the time of suffocating patriarchy in which she lives. This story also had many threads that enriched it, like Yaltha and her daughter, Tabitha, and the Therapeutae, and the relationships of Ana, Judas, and Jesus. Highly recommend!
