Evidence of the Affair by Taylor Jenkins Reid

THIS !!!
Wow, this was great. It’s a short story, but an absolutely beautiful one. I adored Carrie and David so much. Though the circumstances were not pleasant, I’m glad they found each other. Please read this!!!
“I still can’t believe just how many ways in which you have enlightened my life.
You are the second half of my heart nowadays, Carrie Ann.
And I am lucky for it.”
Like are you kidding me, if that wasn’t enough to read it. Take my word!!

* Spoilers *
Dear whoever,
Now, I’ll admit I’m disappointed. I was hoping David would leave his wife too. But, from a practical view this makes sense. They have kids, they have to think about them, and it wouldn’t be easy. Those are things I have to remind myself.
The romantic in my heart hoped Carrie and David would end up together. But I too knew that is highly doubtful. In another life I’d like to think they ended up together. In another life they were happy with kids.
I’m not sure what’s next, haha. I’ll just keep imagining a non realistic ending where the cheaters ended up alone. But I have to point out Carrie. She was truly strong, it takes a lot for a woman to leave a man like Ken. Not only did he financially support her, but she had nothing without him. He trapped essentially her in that marriage. But, she did it! She left him and was free from all his bindings. I’m proud of her, but even after that my brain is still waiting for David to leave too.
All the best,
Gabbie
P.S. Had to write this in the style like the book. This is my personal admittance. See you in Boston! Maybe we’ll be lucky enough to see Carrie and David walking the streets hand in hand. Or, maybe in another life. Whatever works as long as they are happy.
