My heart fully went out to Emmett!!

This heartbreaking story follows Emmett and Tatum. Dual timelines while we follow their first meeting/starting a life together and the aftermath of their tragedies.

From the beginning my heart was already so heavy in seeing how much Emmett loved Tatum even after they got a divorce years ago and their daughter Lucy. This second chance romance follows Emmett as he is navigating his life years after divorcing Tatum, while only seeing Lucy minimally, and still dealing with the aftermath of the tragedy.

Overall, Emmett was what made the entire book. I loved him and his heart. I understood all of his intentions and love that be stood by his actions and said even if it ended the same way, he would still change nothing about how he chose to react. I also loved his dedication and relationship with his daughter Lucy. I felt like Tatum was a bit immature. Not in how she handled her grief, but in the aftermath and conversations with Emmett.

For a second chance romance, I also wish we got a bit more of the story after their second chance came around, but it did seem like a very quick wrap up and we didn't get to see the characters just be together for a bit.

All in all, loved the feels and the characters!
