I LOVED this book. It starts out as a fake dating, not stakes 3-4 day relationship between Lola and TJ. They just met and just for fun decided let's be fake bf/gf while we're in Miami. And that leads us to Phoenix, their child that TJ knows nothing about. And that's where this turns into a second-chance romance two years after meeting. SPOILERS AHEAD Their fake dating was so adorable and innocent so it really got me hooked into the book. When they got to college, I though their relationship moved in a real life way and not some crazy romance book shenanigans. I think that's what I like so much about this - that this story could truly happen in real life. Of course, happening to fall in love with a potential (and eventual) NBA point guard is rare, but still! The pacing was fantastic, and each character had grate development. We actually were able to see their relationship develop, and a lot of authors these days don't do that very well. This was not the case. I think they fell in love those 3-4 days at 19, and never really fell out of love. I'm not someone who wants kids, so sometimes when a kid pops up in a story my interest falls, but that wasn't the case here. I thought Phoenix was accurately portrayed with college aged parents and the struggles they'll deal with. This was just a great story and I immensely enjoyed it. I read this on Kindle Unlimited, but I definitely have to purchase a physical copy!
