I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. The irony of the text and Blackall's over the top illustrations really sell the concept. It has a little more text than I would usually use for story time, but I can't wait to try it!
Update: Story time success! The kids loved it. I hadn't realized how many of Googily's features and actions Jumpy Jack specifically mentions in his dialogue until I was pointing them out in the illustrations.
