Sara in Montana by Morris Fenris
3.25
Read via Kindle eBook.
This is an NTM (new-to-me) author. This is my 2nd in a goal to read six NTM male Christian fiction authors in 2023.
This novella has some suspense and intrigue along with romance and a community vibe. It’s perhaps a little too simplistic but it’s a sweet story of Christmas wishes being fulfilled in traditional and non-traditional ways. It’s quite far-fetched but sometimes that is what you need. It can be fun!
I do wish the FMC was presented a little more realistically. She went from running for her life to totally trusting a man with stars in her eyes. She came across a little ditzy at times. Her adjustment from the trauma she had been through happened too fast.
The MMC was likeable but a bit pushy. It seemed like his attraction was very physical first and foremost. He quickly began calling her pet names. Everything was so fast and a couple times there was more detail about their attraction than I wanted to read about.
I view this book more as clean fiction. I didn’t really see a strong faith element or priority of God in their relationship. Maybe others will see it differently.
