Master of the Game by Sidney Sheldon
4.0
I've read most, if not all, of Sidney Sheldon's books years ago. However I only remember a couple of stories, so I'll be revisiting all the books again.
If Tomorrow Comes is one of my all time favourite books and I can't help but compare this book to that.
Spoilers follow.
This book started out brilliantly with the diamond heist and the revenge. This was reminiscent of ITC, and was thrilling to read. However I was bored with Kate's story. That is mostly about her building the company, and being entirely business minded. And after going through all that for most of the book, we're not given a proper ending as to what happens to the company.
The twins' story made the book interesting once more, but the ending fizzled out for me. It seemed rushed to tie up loose ends in pretty little bows.
I'm glad I read this book, but I doubt I'll be revisiting it.
