This book is super intimidating! It’s 603 pages and it definitely feels like 603 pages too. The book could have been cut down a bit but at the same time I might have felt like I was missing something. In the beginning I wasn’t a fan of each chapter going back to the precious scene but in the other persons POV. That is until the end when I NEEDED both sides. So at that point I understood what the author was doing. Didn’t make it any less annoying in the beginning though. I normally don’t listen to romance books but with this one taking me forever to finish I went ahead and listened to it. I’m so glad I did! The male audiobook narrator was so good! Zanders is EVERYTHING! Him calling Stevie “Sweetheart” and “Stevie Girl” made me melt. The way he was either being so cocky or super sweet and then would wink 🥵 One of my favorite parts is that Stevie is a curvy girl and this man hyped her up every chance he got. If more men were like Zanders in that department there would be way less self conscious women out there. Once a man breaks us down it takes awhile for us to feel good about ourselves. If they were like Zee then that wouldn’t be an issue, just saying 🤷🏻‍♀️ The things this man says to her 🥵. For some reason I thought it was a good idea to listen to this while on my walk. I posted the faces I made in my stories (there is a highlight) and I really hope my neighbors didn’t see me 🤣 The 3rd act breakup (Yeah, I know we hate those) was actually understandable and I didn’t fault them for it. The way it was handled was actually mature, I appreciated it.  The found family aspect of this story was phenomenal. I’ve been in the mood for a hockey romance and even though this was long AF, it delivered in every way possible! Move over Emerson Grant (Praise) I think Evan Zanders just took first place on my book boyfriend list 😉

Wait… I forgot to mention there are dogs. Rosie stole my freaking heart. So that right there should give you the push to commit to this chunker of a book.
