I adored this book and the way it expanded the world and characters of the first one. I also thought the book brought a unique perspective to the classic detective novel, considering how persecuted groups can find something like justice when the policing and formal justice systems do not work for them. Plus, a little Romance in the b-plot as a treat 😊
