Love Bites is the first novella in the Sugar City series from bestselling author Ophelia London and brings together the fascinating world of shark research, auditing, and two people who are made for relationships wondering if they can live with something temporary with each other. Sharona Blaire and Jeff Cruz are both interesting main characters and I liked the chemistry that they had with each other. There's that instant connection they shared while at the bar, and while neither has indulged in anything casual before, they're tempted by one another. However, they both have trust issues--Sharona with how Jeff is treating the sharks he uses for his research and Jeff with what it is Sharona is really after in her auditing job. Aside from the love story, I couldn't get enough of the shark research aspect of the story. It's what gave this book an added dimension of originality. Love Bites was a short but sweet read and one I'm giving four stars to. ♥
