I love VE Schwab’s writing and I always enjoy her books, but this one didn’t live up to my expectations. Although I normally read her adult fantasy, there was a difference in the complexity since this is a young adult book. The writing was great but I felt underwhelmed by the plot, the book summary is basically the entirety of the plot. Which can be a good thing but also I wanted a few twists and turns and I didn’t get any while reading this book.
