A human detective and his vampire partner tries to stop terrorists from starting a civil war. Finn is smart, flirty and positive, and doesn't let himself be defined by his prosthetic limbs, though he has very real moments of insecurity. Marcus is the broody and aloof vampire with a secret squishy heart. There's so much hilarious and snarky banter, but underneath the snark is a grudging admiration and strong attraction.

They work well as partners and lovers, and Marcus' walls breaks down with Finn's bubbly persistence. He is so overly protective of Finn, even if he knows that Finn can kick ass on his own. Their romance has a lot of heart, humor, and a good dose of heat. The suspense is equally fun, though cliffhanger alert. It's Winters' brand of fun and campy - you either like it or you don't - and I enjoyed it, even if it was a bit OTT sometimes.
