Hood Feminism: Notes from the Women That a Movement Forgot by Mikki Kendall

i don't know too much what to say
this was a very interesting book on intersectional feminism and the importance of centering perspectives other than white, cis women's. i think i new much of it already, but it certainly made some points even more clear, and as so often, i felt moved by and learnt a lot from the author's personal experience. i felt like the analysis was not quite finished in parts, though, as whereas this is certainly a revolutionary text, it is not an explicitly anticapitalist one, and i am quite sure this is the only way to any kind of global justice. i'm not saying the author wouldn't agree with that, but the book didn't make it clear.
i'm very greatful to have been able to learn from her experiences, wisdom and thoughts and i hope to do them justice in my activism.
