Two Twisted Crowns by Rachel Gillig
4.0
"Did no one ever love you before, Elm? "
"Not like this.” Closer. He needed her closer. “There’s never been anything like this"
This duology has been a breath of fresh air from the kind of fantasy books I’m used to, and it was beautifully written with a great prose. It was dark, eerie and different in a good way.
I’m glad we got more POVs in this second installment, especially Elm’s who’s become my favorite character and we got to dive deeper into The Shepherd King’s past.
My only regret is we could’ve had more of Ravyn and Elspeth and the ending was lacking somewhat…
