“Your girlfriend?” Her sweet eyes lit up, and there went that tumbling of butterflies in my stomach again. I swear, the girl made me feel like a heartsick teenager. “I thought I was your best friend.” “You’re both.”
oh god. i think i found the perfect book for me. a friend asked me what i was reading and i said
“a romcom-ish supernatural semi smutty book with a dash of mystery”
and yeah i would stick by that!!!
god where do i start? i guess with evie! i love how much of a dork she is. i feel like evie is what i’ll be like in 18 years. sticking by my nerdy interests no matter what other people have to say about it. the right person will love you no matter what.
this book also did a good job of introducing us to all of evie’s sisters and getting us interested in their stories and love lives; and it didn’t take away from this being evie’s book even tho we get quite a LOT about the others. it’s a really good balance.
now, mateo and alpha… jesus fuck this had me laughing a stupid amount.
I wish you’d lose control of your dick, because my balls are so blue you could sprinkle glitter on them and hang ’em on a Christmas tree.
ive read quite a few novels where shifters of some kind have an animal that’ll speak to them as if they’re a separate entity and it’s always fucking hilarious.. BUT THIS BOOK? my god it’s even funnier. alpha quite literally is a little lecherous, primal little devil sitting on mateo’s shoulder. the only bad thing about this book is we won’t get more commentary from alpha. quite a shame really. if his cousin doesn’t have his own version of alpha i’ll be soooo disappointed ☠️
