Things I Wish I'd Known Before We Got Married by Gary Chapman
5.0
What I Liked
For those about to get married who want to read a book of advice but are intimidated by the thick, hefty marriage books can gain a lot from this handbook. Each chapter contains a very real point (like: who is going to clean the toilets?) that are healthy for couples to discuss before they are married, if possible.
What I Didn't Like
The chapter of "like father, like son, like mother, like daughter" didn't make as much sense to me. My husband is similar to his father in some ways but also similar to his mother. And then my dad is nothing like his father. So many people overcome abuse and neglect and this chapter makes a big generalization that can be damaging to some.
