At the Table by Claire Powell
4.0
This is about the impact on a family when Linda and Gerry decide to separate after more than 30 years of marriage. Their children Nicole and James, despite being in their 30s, are derailed by the split. James is about to get married but is wondering if his relationship is already petering out. Nicole is single, works long hours and drinks too much. The book follows them over the next year. It works because the characters are interesting and it's frequently funny.
