This turned out to be a delightful book which is quite a switch for me as it is about a horse. Clearly the author did a fine job of creating an engaging story that caught my interest. I also appreciated how devoted the young boy was over the years to the horse which it would seem to me to be the main appeal of this book to young children. I'd recommend this book to any reader over 8 especially those who love horses.
