Gideon is the closeted actor we all wish didn't need to feel like they had to be while Eli is the gorgeous, welsh nurse who is there to turn his erratic and deadly life upside right. Eli is funny, charming and has a big enough heart for Gideon to crawl into while Gideon is bitter, lonely and darkered from a life he partly chose and was partly reared into. The moments of realisations and wakens throughout this book are many and I kept finding new things that made me smile. All things tend to balance themselves out and the realisation that what you always wanted and needed was never too far away but you were, at times, not seeing the forest for the trees is very clear... And very important.
