What Moves The Dead by T. Kingfisher
5.0
Read October 2023
About a month ago I read Poe’s The Fall of the House of Usher in preparation for the Netflix show. I was so excited to watch it. Now that it’s been out for a bit, I’ve only watched the first four episodes because well, the Succession vibes are throwing me off (that’s just not my cup of tea), my fave got killed off way too soon, and also, I was busy with my 31 days of Halloween movie challenge.
Anyways, I’ll probably finish the show later this month (November) but in the meantime I did read this retelling of the story (thank you for recommending it @matyldatyler!) that I got along with much better. Gothic fungal body horror is definitely more my cup of tea!
