Honeybee: The Busy Life of Apis Mellifera by Candace Fleming

4.0

This book reminded me of my favorite poem by Tony Hoagland, "Little Champion" from his 2015 collection, [b:Application for Release from the Dream: Poems|23848502|Application for Release from the Dream Poems|Tony Hoagland|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1421837437l/23848502._SX50_.jpg|43458407]. The poem is basically composed of three sentences unfolded across seven stanzas. I always like to read the whole poem starting from the top to get to that "stillness of utter concentration" in the last line. It's one of those zen poems about the whole universe existing in all things, and I think it pairs well with this children's book.
