The Vanishing by Jayne Ann Krentz

2.0

This book had potential. It was an interesting premise, and the main characters weren't insufferable. Although fairly predictable, the writing itself isn't bad. Two stars because I felt that the plot was quite meandering in the middle, picked up for a bit, but then fell back onto an obscene amount of exposition without any proper climax. The relationship also felt rushed and cliche, but that's easily overlooked if the rest of the book makes up for it. I'm sure some will like it, which may include the actual target demo, but it wasn't my jam.
