I had very mixed feelings about this book. On one hand, I thought sections of the book were pretty epic. Finding out about Rachel's real father was HUGE surprise, and a twist I really enjoyed. I liked her mother and Marshall so I'm glad they got larger parts in this book than they had before. I like that Rachel and Ivy got their relationship mostly figured out too, that story line was getting tiring. I can never decide whether or not I like Trent. I think I want to like him, but can't quite. The reason this book gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the ending. I was super disappointed that after everything was tied up mostly neatly, Rachel ran off all on her own to bargain with the demon Al again. The book when from being epic and interesting to the same old story--Rachel goes off and does something stupid on her own. I was finally starting to like Rachel and really get on her side, right up until the end. Then she just got on my nerves again. Lucky this series has such a great supporting cast. I was also kinda bummed that Harrison left a loose end with Marshall at the end. We'll see what happens with that.
