A Mystery of Mysteries: The Death and Life of Edgar Allan Poe by Mark Dawidziak

5.0

While I'm obviously a fan of Poe's writing, I'm also fascinated by his life as I am by most authors and poets I consider unreachable, either by time or circumstance. At times appropriately macabre, his life was also just that - a life, and it's easy to prescribe things to it later which may not be accurate. Especially when the subject isn't available for retort.

I learned so much I didn't know, and didn't realize how lacking it was not to know it. Slightly dry but still accessible and fascinating. Highly recommend.
