The Lost Soul by Olga Tokarczuk

In an ode to slowing down, this [a:Brian Selznick|38120|Brian Selznick|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1201028714p2/38120.jpg]-like combo of text and wordless images posits that our souls move slower than we do, and when we rush around so busy we are actually leaving our souls behind. The author and illustrator lean heavily on the reader to interpret the illustrations and connect them to the text. A meditative and provoking book.

An interesting book to read around the same time as [b:Seek You: A Journey Through American Loneliness|55648627|Seek You A Journey Through American Loneliness|Kristen Radtke|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1604997087l/55648627._SX50_.jpg|79069490] and [b:Several People Are Typing|54468020|Several People Are Typing|Calvin Kasulke|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1627964160l/54468020._SY75_.jpg|85004135].
