A Short History of Drunkenness by Mark Forsyth

2.0

For being nonfiction, this was a quick and light read. It's interesting to imagine some of the wilder drunken scenarios the author describes throughout the book, and I actually learned more than I expected about prohibition in the USA.

Unfortunately, the authorial voice was perhaps a bit too light, and made occasional use of offensive terms and phrases. Sometimes they were clearly sarcastic or meant as indirect quotation, but sometimes they weren't.
