🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: This book. It’s uh… something.

I thought Tessa Bailey was wild before. That she turns her MMCs into absolute puddles for their women and that she has unhinged dirty talk. Then I picked up this book and realized the Tessa Bailey we all know has calmed down a ton since back in the day.

Bowen and Sera were instalove at its finest. Instalove with high stakes. Bowen was one of the most nutso MMCs I’ve read in forever - a killer and fighter who paints at night when he can’t sleep and who is obsessed with Sera.

If you love drama and high spice, lots of tension, etc… I highly recommend this one. It’s narrated by the brilliant Jill Redfield, who does Suzanne Wright’s books and did the Crossfire series. It’s a single narrator, but somehow she makes Bowen come to life with an accent and everything. Super well done.
