This is the 2nd in a 3 part series but the way the book ends does not require continuing to part 3.
Novels set in pre-revolution Russia, especially set in winter, are so interesting to me. I love the descriptions of what the winter landscape looks like, the ways people keep warm, religious and pagan traditions, all of it. This series has it!
This was also a fast read. The story does not get bogged down with useless love stories or unnecessary spicy scenes for the sake of spice.
The reason for 4 stars is because it's a series. Too many books to read to be tied down with repetitive characters and stories.
