This is a spell-binding tale that contains all the elements that make a great story as well as being both a delight and easy to read.

It has a wonderful cast of characters, both likeable and not so-likeable, plenty of fast-paced action with numerous fights and duels, all well described, plus many emotional moments that will twist and pull on your heart-strings, all of which are related through the narrative of the main character, Falcio, in a sardonic and self-deprecating humorous manner that had me hooked from the first page.

If you enjoy reading books written by David Gemmell,  Joe Abercrombie or Raymond E. Fiest, then you are very likely going to enjoy this too.
