Amor de Perdição by Camilo Castelo Branco
2.0
A really really tragic romance.
This book takes place at the time when women were dependent on men, and whose happiness was linked to the love and security they’d get from men. So it’s generally outdated from the context we are living, nevertheless, we should place ourselves at that time and try to envision how it might have been.
For me, this book involves too much suffering, pain and tragedy, all linked to the love between a woman and a man. Therefore, it’s neither my type of book nor romance.
