Devoured in 5 hours, I didn’t even pause to eat. It sunk its claws in and it sunk them in deep!
Maeve (the FMC) is incredibly strong and has suffered so much trauma, which the author does not shy from detailing. She is given the task to save her realm from a force of darkness threatening to ruin everything she loves.
It takes a short while for the story to settle and the plot to grab you, but ohhh boy when it does you’ll be hooked.
The Autumn Court Scene, *if you know, YOU KNOW*
The author develops these characters wonderfully, we’ve got plot twists after plot twists and I had whiplash from the last 100 pages.
I’m slightly mad at myself for not reading this sooner, however it does mean I have much less of a wait for book two, because these cliffhangers will be painful to endure for the next couple of weeks.
