Slipstream: A Memoir by Elizabeth Jane Howard

emotional informative reflective sad fast-paced

4.75

An absolutely brilliant read. I know from reading her biography by Artemis Cooper that it contains inaccuracies, but it's very honest about her own emotional development and her shortcomings. It's a shocking but believable picture of how a beautiful woman was treated by men for much of the last century. But she is immensely tolerant and forgiving of others in her retelling of events.
