This book very much read like a Lifetime movie mixed with a Hallmark movie. It gave me Good Witch vibes in the best way possible. When I tell you the MMC is grumpy, he is GRUMPY! I’m so sick of being told that a book has the grumpy/sunshine trope and then the MMC isn’t even grumpy at all. Brittainy Cherry delivered with this book in more ways than one. The humor was great, the small town aspect was spot on, and the drama kept me super invested. I couldn’t help not to love all the characters even the ones who drove me crazy. The MMC has his reasons for being grumpy and the flashbacks to his childhood made my heart hurt. Yara’s character is so bright and full of life even though she’s experienced things that could break a persons spirits. Yara & Alex compliment each other so well. The book flowed like you’re watching a movie which had me not wanting to put it down once I got into it. The way the author creates these characters who you can feel so many emotions for will forever blow my mind. I laughed, I cried and I blushed so many times. One moment I’m in tears and the next I’m yelling at characters through my kindle. I’m convinced that Brittainy Cherry can write ANYTHING and I’ll eat it up. This series is going to be soooo good! When the book ended I immediately wanted the next book to continue living in Honey Creek.
