The Princess Bride: S. Morgenstern's Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure by William Goldman

5.0

4.5

The movie made me fall in love with the story of The Princess Bride long ago. Now that I finally got my hands on a copy, the book brings even more life and background to the characters I already love. Especially Fezzik. This is a marvelous and witty story-within-a-story, in which Goldman describes becoming enamored with and eventually abridging The Princess Bride by S. Morgenstern (a fictional author). Admittedly, the introductions are a bit long, but coupled with the clever abridging notes, they provide even greater depth to the characters and story.

This is not just a kissing book!
