This is fantastic.


While I do think it could have cut a little bit I understand why it wasn’t. There is a reason this book is so widely loved, it is absolutely worth the read.

While the tech in Hunger Games is infinitely cooler this story has a lot more tense and emotional moments. I fully understood the students fears and motivations in a way that Hunger Games doesn’t do (which. Isn’t shade on HG that is one of my favorite series of all times.) this just. When I wasn’t reading I was thinking about reading it.

If you like hunger games or Alice in Borderland - read this.

If you like survival stories - read this.

Basically. Just read this.

There are some definite dark and disturbing trigger warnings (suicide, gun violence, prostitution, rape, pedophilia… probably more I’m forgetting) so definitely look into those.


It’s worth the hype guys. It really is.
