Quick note: I think the book is probably closer to a 3/5 because I think the nonlinear format not only doesn't serve the book well, it undercuts almost all of the dramatic tension in this book. It is a pacing catastrophe-- and though I've played around with an interpretation that it is done to convey the overwhelming sentiment of the plot (futility) in the actual mechanics of the story-- that doesn't make it a satisfying read.
That said, it's satisfying for many other reasons as I detail in my review.
