One of the most emotional stories I've read in a long time. The author takes us on a journey that spans 8 years, during which time the main characters, Crow and Sage, go from protector/victim to BFFs to obsessed love interests to full-blown whoa! The first half of the story is a sort of retelling of Book 1 but from the perspective of different characters, so it's fresh and not at all dragging or boring. While this is only the 2nd book in the series (and the 2nd MC book ever written by this author), it's shaping up to be one hell of a must-read staple in the MC trope.
