the book just bored me. halfway through it, it became impossible for me to continue, I had to read it in one sitting because otherwise I knew I would never pick it up again, just straight dnf it.
there's nothing wrong or that I disliked it, in fact I thought the subplot with their parents was interesting, but idk it was all so dull, I just wasn't into it.

the first half was nice, and tbh there's nothing wrong with it to rate this one star but.. yeah I'm sad I didn't like it, I had hopes for it, to at least reach three stars.
