I loved this book! I’m super stoked for the next volume. I absolutely loved the world building and learning more about Mexican mythology that was weaved through this story. Teo, the MC was such a lovable, mischievous character and I just want him to succeed and be happy. There’s a found family sense throughout the trials with Teo, Niya, and Xio. I also loved the tension with Teo and Aurelio and I loved their rekindling of friendship. Also, the twist at the end! I saw it coming throughout the book like something big and like something was up but it was done so well I wish I had the next volume already. Definitely add this to your TBR.
